I also ordered the hondaline brackets for my VTX1300C but I had to drill four new holes in each bag to mount to the brackets, just to clear the directional by 1/2" forward. Returned them to my dealer in May for a refund, the plastic liner inside the bag warped and caused the snaps to break off and the rear of the bag to curl up, was starting to get road grime inside the bag because it didn't seal properly. If you are thinking saddlebags, make sure you want the look, and buy some nice chrome racks and cheap(er) aftermarket bags - don't waste money on Hondaline. Took my wife's cheap bags off her bike, but left her racks on for quick re-attachment cause they are thin chrome and look fine, the Honda's are disgusting. We both like the bag-less look s... Generally easy to install and are very functional however dramatically changes the look of the bike and not sure about it yet. Not very easy for on off use so may look to find differnt brackets for easy removal when not used. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

They are a bit on the small side but I really didn't want anything to big. They do hold a fair amount of gear. They are very pricey and if I had to do it all over again, I would shop around to see if there was something else out there that had the same quality for less money. The last set of aftermarket bags I had don't even compare. The mounting brackets are a bit of a pain to install. But imporve functionality. Extremely sturdy construction and pinch clips over latch and hook sinch ups are GREAT! Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
