(5 stars) reviewed on 12/30/06 byRandall Rimes (rwrimes) from Mableton, GA, United States, for a 2000 Black and Silver 750 Shadow ACE wrote: What a great addition!! Should have done this sooner. I have the Memphis Shades windshield so I had to fabricate a simple extension bracket to get the clearance between the rear of the spots and the shield. Works great. Follow-up on wiring: DO NOT wire this lightbar to your starter switch, as I did, because you will melt the starter switch and you won't be able to start the bike. I was left stranded on a trip, but AMA MOTOW came to my rescue. You need to wire the lightbar to the white wire going directly to your headlight bulb. So when you look for this item you will not find it under products for the 750. Being made for the Sabre, the wiring does not match up color to color. Luckily, I had someone with some know how put them on. They work great. Overall, I like the looks of this light bar when compared to other light bars. The lights and light bar have a great look and finish. I purchased this item about a month ago as I thought the added light would be nice for riding at night, as well as for being seen during the day. It also gives the bike a nice look. The only thing I didn't like was the way Honda routed some of the wire. There is a small wire that is exposed and should have been routed through the light bar. Because of how this small wire connects to the switch, you can not feed it through. They do however give you two black plastic tie wraps to hold the wire to the light bar. The only other hitch might be the windshi... Review Details 2 out of 2 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Got from Honda dealer and did not realize it required relocating turn signals. Probably would have looked closer at Custom World International model that left turn signals stock if I had known. Still looks good though and really provides a lot of light. Review Details 1 out of 1 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Bike looks much better, you are more visible at night (and daytime), lights up the road much better than the single headlight. Great Honda quality/chrome. They light things up a little better at night, but I would not buy them for that reason. I *would* recommend them as a well built, good looking accessory. I had them installed by the dealer when I bought the bike. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

(4 stars) reviewed on 11/08/02 byjc (jjcorley00) from Woodinville, WA, United States, for a 750 Shadow ACE wrote: First of all I have an ACE 750. First the bad: I assume the instructions were for the Sabre; they had a few inaccuracies for my bike (somewhat understandable). The diagram of how the bar mounts on the bike is a little cluttered and it is hard to tell exactly where to bolt the flange to, however by holding it up to the bike in approximately the position it shoud go makes it obvious how it bolts up. Secondly the colors of the wires specified are wrong ( as other reviewers have said go to sa750.com for wiring diagram, I did) . Third, I did not care for the fact that to mount the stock turn signals on the bar you actually have to get out a knife and cut a little notch in the rubber of each turn signal. Fourth, the wiring just kind of hangs out there. Plastic zip straps are provided to keep it neat. I would have prefered if the wiring was run through the tubes in some way or otherwise routed in a cleaner way. Last with my Memphis Fats 21" wind shield the lights cannot stand all w... Spots look like the headlight. Especially sweet with the visors. Instructions identify wrong-colored wires. (Go to sa750.com for wiring diagram) . (5 stars) reviewed on 10/17/02 byChris White (ct_white) from York, ENGLAND, , Americas, for a 750 Shadow ACE wrote: This product claims to be only for the Shadow sabre, but it also fits the ACE 750 as well ! This was the light bar I liked the most as it has "bullet" type lamps that match the 750's headlight, as opposed to the doughnut-shaped lamps on the cobra and national cycle light bars. The instructions that come with the light bar are for the Shadow Sabre, so the colours of the wires etc. it describes are useless, but the general lightbar assembly instructions are of some use (you have to dismatle the turn-signal bar off the bike and re-fit the turn signals to the lamp bar !). I had a little trouble working out which wires to tap into, but after looking at the wiring diagram in my service manual I worked it out. I had a little trouble with the mounting of this light bar due to my Memphis Fats windshield. The lightbar is meant to mount on the 4 chrome fork-cover bolts, but this mounted the lightbar too far back, and the lamps hit the windshield, and they had to point downwards. I eventuall... (5 stars) reviewed on 07/25/02 byOzzie (Ozzie) from Deerfield, IL, United States, for a 2002 750 Shadow ACE wrote: With the 19" Memphis Fats Windshield I had to install the bar using only the front two triple tree bolt holes to move the lamps away from the winshield, still is sturdy! They look great and I added the visors too. Gets some extra light out front for the nightime rides, even though they are 25 watt bulbs. One bulb burned out after 5 weeks and so I replaced both with 55 watt bulbs, now they are really bright, the cagers flash me, so I know they see me. Wired in a relay for power directly from the battery in the headlamp assembly. The relay control wire is tapped off of the dark blue/white wire that feeds the high/low switch, so while starting the lamps don't draw power. They do need a better way to hide the wires and should of put them inside the bar, but you can tuck them out of sight reasonably well. The mounting bolts for the spots are starting to show signs of rust and so are the lampmounting pieces. Coat ALL of the chrome with LOTS of wax.
