Question & Answers:

How hard is it to adapt this sissy bar to my '10 VT1300 Interstate

I have a honda 2010 VT1300 Interstate. I like the minimalistic looks of this sissi bar, and wondering if its possible to adapt it to me bike, given that it is specifically made for the honda fury, not interstate, thought the two bike are nearly identical.

    Hello Ed,
Unfortunately we would not be able to tell you what it might take to adapt this to your Interstate, as this is designed to fit the Fury only. If you can confirm that there aren't any differences on that part of the bike between the Fury and your Interstate then I don't see why you wouldn't be able to use this backrest. We're just not able to confirm those differences if there are any. Also, keep in mind that you have to purchase the pad and the bar separately. This listing is for the pad only. Part number HL-08F75-MFR-100 will be the actual bar. Links to both items are provided below in case you need them. Do verify whether or not there's any differences before you order of course. If you have any other questions or would like to get an order in you can reach me directly at 925-583-2221. Take care and ride safe!

Looks like the Fury riders had to drill the fender to fit it, so maybe you can make it work?
I found it mentioned in one place only on Honda USA: http://powersports.honda.com/documentum/model_pages/specification_pdf_fi...
Note there are 2 parts here on Cruiser Customizing..the pad section ad which you referred to and this bar itself. See here: http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/hondaline-low-sissy-bar-upright-honda-... (talks about the drilling)
The other alternative is to check with Honda (seeing as it is a genuine part) and ask for their help?
I note the genuine backrest normally mounts to the fender chrome eyebrows with item 08F75-MFY-101, so if the Fury riders can do it by drilling the fender maybe you can also do the same?

If you find out any more info regarding your question, can you please re-post it here so others can learn more about this product?

    Cheers, Steve
