I looked for a few weeks for the raised, padded style as seen on some BMW models; none found large enough for the massive tank shelter of the GL1800, so I bought the Hopnel faux carbon fiber guards. I like the look. A little bit thicker would satisfy me, but it's just my opinion. You will like these if tank guards are your taste. PS- be careful lining them up; it would be easy to get them out of alignment side-to-side.
