Mine leaked from the main body not the hoses. Thought it was a faulty O-ring. Took it to a dealer and got it fixed up. WARNING!! A Jardine ORK will not allow you to install a Baron engine guard. Silly me!

DOUBLE CHECK WHAT IS MAILED TO YOU!! The idea of relocating the filter housing is terrific, is unfortunate that only Jardine manufactures this component. The kit they sent me started leaking a week after i installed it. Unfortunatly i installed a week after it was shipped to me so the poor excuse for warranty Jardines gives you had expoired by that time. When I unistalled I noticed the kit they sent me was used not a new one as they advertise and charge. More likely this kit was returned to them and they sold it again to me has new. After several attepts to contact them finally a representative told me that in order to replace the faulty hose i have to pay extra 40USD. At the end i got Pirtek to make me a spare hose for 19.50USD. Again, is a good idea to purchase this just be very careful, double check what they send you to be sure is new and install is as soon as possible so you may try to catch some warranty if it fails...

After taking the pipes off my V Star and installing this thing I realize that if I had to do this everytime I changed the oil filter I wouldnt own this bike for long. Its tedious, frustrating, and you have to have double jointed fingers to get everything back on and tightened up, especially if you are a moron with tools like me. If I had to do it again I probably would have gone with Barons kit instead of Jardine. One of the lines leaked after a 2 hour install. The leak was at the coupler where it met the hose and was just a bad hose. Cruiser Customizing told me Jardine wanted me to send the line to them to send to Jardine to inspect it before sending me a replacement. I guess they wanted to make it as hard as possible so maybe I wouldnt bother and either just buy a new line or live with my bike slowly bleeding all over my garage floor. Cruiser made it right, though, and everything seems to be holding after they sent me the replacement line today (Thanks Josh) without making me...

I bought the Barons kit when they first came out with it. The couplers we cheap and I always had a problem with it leaking. They have redisigned it and it is now great. New steal braded lines and couplers. If you change your own oil, this is a must have.

Looks great.....more chrome a good thing! Only problem was the chrome oil filter cover is no longer chrome..the road sand has blasted all the chrome off. So now I use a beer can with the end cut off....slips right over the filter and stays on haha!

I had the dealer install this at the 12,000 mile service. The Jardine name is barely visible behind the exhaust pipe. Now that it has been on the bike 2 months, the "stainless" cables are rusting... and it seems to leak at the filter connection. The engine case has a haze where the original cover was, and I don't know what this is from. I am now using a bare filter without the chrome cover because it is hard to get off, tiny hex screws... if I knew then what I know now, I would probably go with another brand with larger lines and a screw on chrome filter (without the chrome cover).

Just finished installing Jardine's Relocation kit. While not difficult, it is not a cinch to install either. I fault part of the problem with the kit, most with the Yamaha design. The mufflers, header pipe, and floorboard have to come off. I'm no ace mechanic and don't have a rack of tools. The job took me about 3 hours, including polishing all the exposed parts before putting back together, and changing the oil. I don't like Jardine's method of securing the chrome oil filter cover with set screws. They are tiny, difficult to work with and, for the price, a better setup surely could have been designed. Yamaha's bulletproof engine is great to have on this bike but they certainly could have made a few minor changes for the rider. Having to remove the exhaust to change the oil is ridiculous! Ever tried to check your oil level on a Classic? It's a two person operation unless you are a contortionist. How about the angle and location of the oil filler… I can't help but get ...
