After riding about a year, I started having trouble with the shift linkage. The design for the shadow has a pivot point that is part of the mount. This point was a poor design being pressed in and then welded into place, then the weld was ground off so the crome facing could be mounted to the bracket. I called them, and they said they had redesigned them, so this wasnt pressed and then welded into place, but screwed into place. I thought that was a better choice, so I installed that. That piece lasted about a year and broke in the same place again. I called them, they said sorry, but the warranty is up. The offered to sell me another complete set, at a discount. I figured that since the chrome was peeling anyway... why not.. I have had the new set for about a year and a half. The shifting point hasn't broken yet, but I worry about it.. the chrome on the other hand... starting to peel again... I would love to find a bette...
