Allow for options on the long rides. I don't move my feet off the controls often but when I need to, it's great to have them. A bit pricy but a great addtion to the bike. Very easy to install if you can get the 2 bolts off the controls in order to mount the mini board brackets. Jardine put the originals on so tight it took 2 hours and a drill press to get the bolts off. I had to drill 1 of them out. Once they were off, it was a piece of cake.
