The sound is awesome. I do need to rejet the carbs but that is fine. Great value for the $$. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Would strongly recommend to purchase if you are looking for a reasonably priced slip-on exhaust. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

My neighbor believes they sound better than his Harley, not sure about that but they do sound good. I have put a couple of hundred miles on them and only been home 2 weeks and I just enjoy cranking it up so I can hear it run. If they last a longer than a year without getting blue then I will for sure buy these pipes again for my next replacement. I did not re-jet the carbs cause I was told I did not have to with slip-on's so I am going to ask a bike mechanic, but it seems to be doing great, it only took me ten minutes to change them out. More than a great bang for your buck, these are all you need. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

(3 stars) reviewed on 05/08/09 byAndy (apisaacs) from , , United States, for a 2001 1100 V-Star Custom wrote: These have probably been one of the easiest things I've installed on my bike, they look exceptional and can't complain about the price, I haven't had them long so I can't comment on bluing or durability, but the sound is awesome, very loud. Install was simply removing and reusing two mounting bolts and applying T clamps that are provided by Jardine, the down side was the T clamps do show which looks a bit tacky, but minor none-the-less. I've had them now for one summer and have noticed one downside to them, the stock mufflers have a small pipe running between them to equalize pressure, the slip-ons do not have this so there is a lot of back fire with them, especially when decelerating, It's pretty annoying, if you have the $$ i recommend a full system. (4 stars) reviewed on 08/11/08 by(speabs) from Oakland, CA, United States, for a 2005, gold and black 1100 V-Star Classic wrote: These were super easy to install, two bolts and two clamps and your in business, took about 10 minutes! Check out my youtube page to hear them in action send me a message and I will send you the address (for some reason capital letters don't show up in this review, otherwise I would have posted the address below) Feels like I got quite a bit more power out of the engine as well, and seems to run better, plus they look much better than the stock pipes. They come to life when you snap the throttle and are reasonably quiet at cruising speeds, which is exactly what I wanted and expected. I would recommend this if you don't want or need a full exhaust system. Review Details 10 out of 11 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
