Chris Jones (RCFSnow) from Dickson City, PA, United States, for a 1997 800 Intruder wrote: Excellent fit & finish, HUGE difference in comfort. If you and your girl do any real riding, GET ONE. Get a ProTac rider backrest, too, so much better for ur back on long rides. Each took 10 minutes to install(never done them before), ignoring half the Jardine directions, some of it made no sense. The right way - open the tool box, take the lid & toolbag out. grab a ratchet & a 10mm socket, pop the top 2 tool box bolts out & remove the top cap, pop out the bottom 2 bolts & remove the tool box. Line up the backrest with the bolt posts & holes for the toolbox, then squeeze the toolbox back into place. Put the 4 bolts back nice & tight, put the tools, box lid, & cushion back. Then go to your local leather shop and have them match the leather of the toolbox pad, rider backrest, & passenger backrest to your seat so it looks real good. Comfort and style totally done right ;) Rated 4 stars on Value though, Jardine's stuff is way too expensive. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

I think I might have my orignal pad redone to match the Jardine pad,, One note, the instructions that came with the bar kit, were for a 1999 intruder, I have a 2000, they tell you to remove the end caps on the stock sissy bar, the 2000 and up have a wrap around top, you must remove your tool box to undo the top caps...once you know that it takes 10 min to install. at last I can pack some bags!!!. Jardine support was very good. the only reason i rated 4 stars was the issue with the instructions, and it's a little pricey for what it is, but isn't it all ?
