About Me
Riding since 1986. The first bike I owned was a used Honda NightHawk 650 (Remember all those weird engine displacement sizes because of the tarriff on imported bikes?) That was a good bike, even though it was "slightly crashed" when I bought it. I loved the LCD gear indicator. Maybe I'm lazy but I wish bikes still had that, 23 years later and I still forget what gear I'm in sometimes.
First new bike was a 1987 Ninja 750. Everybody has their own opinion but for my money that was one of the best all around bikes made in the last 35 years. Looked great, comfortable to ride and FAST AS HELL! You could throw a tank and tail bag on it and ride all day without having to visit a chiropractor and later that night strip it down and embarrass most anything on the road. All while being rock-solid reliable, this is the bike that made me a Kawasaki man. After 13 years I made the mistake of selling it shortly before my son was born. The squid that bought it totaled it in less then a year. I still miss that bike.
After a layoff that lasted way too long I'm back on a Kawasaki: a 2007 Vulcan 1500 Classic. Since I'm not quite as flexable (or as fast) as I used to be I decided to get my first cruser and I love it. I'm back on a motorcycle for life. This won't be my last bike but this time I'm not going to make the mistake of selling it. If I move a few things around in the garage I think I could fit two or three bikes in there!
