Tried it under a vented/perforated Alpinestars leather jacket in 45 degree (F) weather. Worked very well in keeping the wind out and keeping my chest reasonably warm. Haven't tried it in the rain yet but I expect it will perform well. If I bought again, I would buy one size smaller than my regular size so that it is more of a body hugging fit. This would make zipping of the outer jacket a lot easier.
