(5 stars) reviewed on 09/06/09 by(live4today) from , , for a 500 Vulcan LTD wrote: Excellent quality pants from JR. Fit well and comfortable. Wind move right through to keep legs cool. When it is cooler in the am, tights, or sweats can be worn under. I like the velcro adjustments on the legs and multiple zippers. Reflective piping on the side is a nice touch. Material seems to be of high quality with padding in the hips and knees -- which I hope I never have to test Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

After a buddy went down in just jeans and I saw what happened to his knee from just a 10 mph fall I staryted wearing mine all the time. I want to get the new Ballistic pants for winter but for Spring through Summer riding these can't be beat. I like having something between my jeans and the ground, at over 85 degrees I wear shorts under them and i am covered if I ever do go down. I like the rubber linning on the inside of the waist band that keeps the pants from sliding down. The knees are rather large, so I wonder if the knee pads will stay in place if I go down with the bike. Review Details 3 out of 3 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Will keep you cool and from getting sun burned if you wear shorts in th hot weather. I like to soak them in water when I stop to get the poor mans air conditioning. Try that when the air temp is over 100 Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
(5 stars) reviewed on 03/24/07 byMike Lingerfelt (MatoPato) from Pasadena, TX, United States, for a 2004 1300 VTX1300R (S) Retro wrote: JOE ROCKET PHOENIX PANTS. I bought a pair of these a couple years ago now. I like the thought of a little more protection than just jeans. These pants have a nice liner that lets them slide over your pants easily. The liner is soft enough that if you wanted to wear shorts under the pants you could without chapping. They have 3/4 length zippers that allow easy on over boots. They flow a lot of air, almost like you don't have them on. I think the knee pads could be a little stiffer and I may replace them with better later. I also have some concers about how well they would stay in place in a get off, but better than nothing. I bought light cotton jeans to wear under them, so I feel cooler. I wish there was more reflective piping on them but that may just be a personal taste. After putting 2full seasons on them in cool comfort I don't think I would do without them. (5 stars) reviewed on 10/03/06 byWil Bell from Ashburn, VA, United States, for a 2002 Silver Metallic 1800 wrote: If you are looking for a great quality, these pants are the greatest. I've even worn shorts under, that how much I trust these pants. Easy to get on and off, long zippers on each side, great tight cuff at the bottom. The jacket and the pants zip together in the rear.
