For me, it is exactly the right size so as to be unobtrusive and also to deflect the blunt force of the highway winds while out and about. There is literally no wind noise and no buffeting, as the angle guides the air to a point about 10 inches above the top of my helmet. It extends just enough into the cockpit to provide additional wet-weather protection for my Garmin 660 gps as well. It is also extremely easy to keep clean without removal, but if for some reason you wish to take it off...piece of cake. It will always be the first accessory I buy when I buy a new bike.
