Got this for both ends of the bars to give it a balanced look and allow for two helmets. Update - after three months of use, one of the locks has failed. With the saddlebags on the Silverado you lose your factory helmet lock and I always worried about someone stealing my helmet. This accessory gives you a great alternative. The only negative comment is the D-Rings on my helmets do not fit the lock and I would be surprised to find many helmets that the D-Ring will fit. The package does include two chrome D-Ring brackets that allows any helmet to be locked which solves the problem but creates a new problem. Where do you keep the chrome brackets? I was at a Casino and when I put the key in, it just spun. Not a good thing because you could not cut the strap holding the D-ring. Your strap would be useless. Since I have the Silverado, I have the useless helmet lock behind the saddle bag. I have not been satified with the way any of the relocation solutions have looked. I also don't like the looks of the after market bolt on locks. This, in my opinion, is the best solution that I have seen. It looks good on the end of the grip, and it solves the problem of not having a lock. I bought the matched set so I would have one on the other side and it works very well with the Throttle Boss.
