Dresses up the reservoir area with an needed item. May suggest a piece of double-sided real-sticky tape to assure the clock face stays put while on bumpy roads. Costs a bit, but it can easily be explained to the wife that it is on there for safety reasons - first, so you don't have to fumble with your sleave so you can keep both hands on the bars and second, to make sure you are home in time for her.
