Part Number: KEWL-270

Same as #215 Risers with 1 inch additional rise. These gorgeous chrome risers move your stock handlebars back and lay them down 10 degrees from the stock position. This moves the hand grips back 2.0 inches and up 1 inch. Gives your front end a whole new look and feel greatly increasing rider comfort.

Note: You WILL need longer cables with these risers.

Bought these a year ago. I already have the other/original riser (model KWL-215). The original risers (#215) brought the bars back closer to the rider. These (#270) will keep the bars back toward the rider, but will also raise the bars up just bit. The original #215 kept the bars a little too low to the tank. With original #215's I was able to use the cables that I already have. These new #270 risers will require a new throttle, clutch, electrical, and front brake cables. Probably need about another 2 to 4 inches. So I'll install this when I finally get those cables.

The single best investment I've made regarding comfort on the Mean Streak. I'm 5' 10" with a 33" sleeve length and always felt like I was reaching for the bars with a straight arm. Any ride over 1 hour would lead to neck and back aches. These risers pulled the handlebars back and down to a "right there" postion - very comfortable. The new postion does not adversely affect the handling of the bike. I took about 2 hours to install - you do need at least 2" longer clutch and throttle cables.

Ordered the newer Kewl-270. I haven't tried them out yet since i had to order a longer brake line from Barnett which is going to take a month to get. I'll let you know when they are installed but you need longer cables for these. I will update the rating once i have then installed.
