• P115W-D unit is totally self-contained. There are no hidden boxes or switches. There are no wires to cut or splice.

• P115W-D unit is designed for a motorcycle with dual 3-pin H4 or a Japanese H7 style head lamps. It's 1.50" (38mm) round, and requires only 0.6" (15mm) of additional room after it's plugged on the back of the bulb.

• P115W-D comes with a detachable daylight sensor, which simply plugs into the pathBlazer. The day light sensor functions as a switch; it stops modulation when it cannot see enough daylight.

• This unit is configured as a dual - master and slave. Only the master unit has the daylight sensor attached. Slave has a synchronizing cable, which connects with the master. Please note that if the synch cable is not connected the slave unit will not modulate.

• The Daylight Sensor has a low frequency filter to avoid false triggering. Please note that florescent lamps may NOT trigger the sensor - it needs constant incandescent light.

• Select hi-beam to modulate - as long as there's sufficient daylight. If you enter a tunnel or if it gets dark, it will stop the modulation of the hi-beam and stay steady ON. Select lo-beam to end modulation. You have the full control.

• P115W-D circuit modulates the hi-beam current - from 100% to about 17%. This is accomplished by using a p-channel MOSFET. If the circuit fails it is designed so that the motorcycle will have a normal high beam. For additional safety, the circuit DOES NOT utilize the lo-beam whatsoever!

• Our modulator will not affect the life of your headlight bulb because it utilizes a soft-switching technology. Soft-switching is a technique which throttles the current flow through the bulb filament, so that there's no "thermal shock" - as opposed to a sudden inrush of current, which can damage the bulb filament or shorten it's life considerably. This is far superior than maintaining a small voltage!

• The internal circuitry is being controlled by a microprocessor. The microprocessor allows for customizable features. If you turn the high beam on and turn the ignition on three times quickly the microprocessor takes that as an input and changes the sensitivity of the daylight sensor. There are two settings "High" and "Low".

• MAX power rating is 115 watts. DO NOT EXCEED!

Added for safety. Now cars pull out of the way... as they think I am CHP. No sir ree... but thank you anyway for moving! Requres removal of the gas tank farring cover... not fun - but once removed, installation is a breeze.

I have had these on all my bikes - like 'em a lot. Goldwings have very bright highbeams so use with discretion. Limited access makes the 1800 more difficult than most to install. The effort is worth the peace of mind later.

Super product! Patience with the install is a must -- not difficult once the pockets are out but tight spaces and big hands don't mix. Otherwise installation went better than expected and IT WORKS GREAT!

What a PITA to put on. Got it in thru the pockets, but it's a "go by feel" job. Had one on my VTX, and it works !!
