pretty simple to install, i actually moved it to under the side panel when my owners manual is located i just used a wire tie to secure it. I couldnt get the springs in the switch to work right so i gave up on that.

I ordered the SM-3 on-line for my 2003 Honda Shadow 600 VLX on a Wenesday evening (10:00pm), it arrived in the mail on Friday afternoon. Basic installation took less than 20minutes ... 5minutes to unbolt and pull the seat, 5minutes to unplug the OEM relay and plug in the SM-3, another 10 minutes to get the seat lined up again and bolted down. I wasn't too impressed with the basic operation, so I went back and did the complete installation. That took maybe another 20 minutes to hook up the three wires Left/Right/Brake (all crimp on connections, no need to cut any wires), and about 40 minutes to disassemble the switch housing to install the two return springs, and reassemble. I was a bit nervous about taking the switch housing apart (just two screws), but all was OK as nothing came flying out of the housing. The pictures in the Installation Guide were not very clear (i.e. as in fuzzy). Getting the springs in place was a little tedious, it helps to have small needle nose pliers. I had ...
