I have Vance & Hines slip-ons on my xvs1100A and prior to installing the K&N air filter the bike would feel rather rough at higher RPMs. Now, the bike is far more responsive from low revs and far less asthmatic at higher revs - generally smoother overall and the bike seems easier to ride somehow. Can easily hit 60 km/h in first now without hitting the rev limiter, so definitely worth the price in my opinion. THe main thing is that the bike is far easier to ride at lower speeds/going around corners etc. as the bike is far more responsive to throttle input.

Allows for better airflow and warm up times. Gives some extra power to the bike and you don't have to buy paper filters again.

Great decision to change out the stock filter. Regular prices on these are ridiculously high. A friend just bought it and sold his V-Star, so I got the good deal. Anything over $45 for this item is a rip off.
