Installation is a simple R&R of the standard air filter. I have had the K&N for about 5 weeks and ridden about 400 miles. My average mileage has increase by 1-1.5 mpg. One thing that I didn't realize is that the filter comes pre-oiled. You don't have to buy the recharge kit until you need to clean and re-oil the filter.
