When I initally installed them, I used the red lok-tight to secure every bolt. I lost part of the peg somewhere on the freeway after in came loose. Because they don't sell only one peg, I was forced to buy another pair, That my freinds was expensive. Pegs are still loose, tightening the bolts to the max still leaves them loose, I even put the most shims possible and still they are loose. The 4" extention may be too long, thus not strong enough to support any weight. That is my opinion. I've put some weight on it and it seems to move, as if giving way to the weight.
