I got these and the short Kuryakin sissy bar in part because they support Harley Davidson sissy bars. I didn't want a Harley sissy bar but did want a Harley luggage rack. These straps are really nice: 3/16 thick (not just 1/8) and the sissy bar screw mounts are on the inside so the outside chrome is smooth and uninterrupted by mounting screws (unlike most other brands where the screws are visible on the outside). The Harley luggage rack did have the 1 1/4 in. on center mounting holes and the correct angle but had a 7 1/2 in. gap for mounting while these straps with the bar in had 7 1/4 in. I had to file out the mounting holes on the luggage rack a bit (they were positioned based on 1/8 thick straps), remove the bar, put in the luggage rack, and compress the straps back to 7 1/4 in. with a clamp to get the bar back in. It was a tight squeeze but it all came together nicely without any cracked chrome or other problems. I highly recommend these straps and you can choose from a wide array ...
