Luckily, if this happens, you can just get a slightly longer cap screw and carefully tighten into the deep threads. I used a dab of JB Weld on the screw just to be safe. it looks very cool, especially if you have the matching grips and shift peg cover. Fits my '07 VT750C2 just fine.
