Looks great! What the VTX Retro should have come with originally. Light isn't very bright now, but I rarely ride after dark unless traveling. I recommend. Only possible complaint is the frame covers part of my tag stickers, witch is not look issue, but a law issue. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

I really like the way it blends with the curve of the rear fender. Very heavy duty, and very easy to install. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for, and this is a nice pice that will last. (5 stars) reviewed on 05/26/10 byRob (resolaru) from Cheektowaga, NY, United States, for a 2005 1300 VTX1300R (S) Retro wrote: Excellent addition to my bike. The stock license plate holder/frame looks like crap compared to this. This one curves almost to the same curve as my fender and lays down slightly. Looks really good. I highly recommend it. The only bad thing I noticed is that the due to the design of my state's license plate, the last number is slightly cut off by the edge of the chrome plate. I've had this on for 2-3 years now, though, and have not been stopped for it. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

I had to take off the OEM liscense plate holder and install this upside down. Not exactly the look I was going for but looks pretty cool and cleaned up the back of my bike a lot. (5 stars) reviewed on 04/24/10 byGiest (ciphergiest) from Rothesay, NB, Canada, for a Black 2006 1100 Shadow Sabre wrote: Looks great on the Sabre and gets ride of the ugly bracket covered in bicycle reflectors. One thing, you have to mount it upside down in order for it to fit on the two mounting holes for the original plate. It's still visible that way and still looks great. It's a serious pain in the ass to get the plate into the frame though. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Looks like it has always been installed on the bike. Didn't cover up two of the stock holes (where I placed it) but its hardly noticeable. Great product, Highly recommend if you want to get rid of that stock license plate bracket. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

For the cost, you have to get it. Due to the design of the VTX1300R, you don't have many options without cutting up the fender. This was a great option to have and it looks good.
