If you have a narrow back rest and luggage rack, this bag might make the back side look a little cumbersome. The bag hangs on by velcro straps in 3 different places which makes the bag feel secure. Will update when I take the bike for a ride with the bag on. 2012 - I have to re-rate this bag because the zipper for the main compartment broke in 2 different places right about the bottom part when the main compartment zipper curves. I use the main compartment a lot to carry my lunch to work, so it gets many uses. I rigidity of the bag may have caused this due to the fact that the sides put strain on the main compartment zipper.
