I finally found a set of bags that are not only functional but looks great on my bike. (08 VTX1800N)I tried the other guys but always found myself wanting more. Not the case with these bags. These bags are super durable and combined with the Edge Brackets I challange anyone to find a better combination for the money anywhere. The studs look good and these Tek Leather wrapped hard bags are much easier to care for than leather, they look great, and will last for many years. I see no way that these bags can loose their shape due to their superior construction technique. These bags are a keeper for sure. This model (104) opens toward the front of the bike and has the quick release snap on the rear of the bag. There is also velcro around the entire top of the bag. The front hinge is strong and the easy to use quick release snap on the rear of the bag is definately top shelf construction. Stop messing around and get yourself a real set of saddle bags.
