Even after installing and tightening really hard, they get loose when riding at over 70 mph. Also, they vibrate too much. Review Details 2 out of 2 members found this review helpful. (5 stars) reviewed on 03/13/08 byDavid Green (dgreen381) from West Monroe, LA, United States, for a 2005 Titanium 1300 VTX1300C wrote: LOVE THEM!!!!! Very heavy, nicely machined, great finish!! They install easily and fit great. And they look awesome! Very happy with them. Glad I got the convex glass also...does give you a wider field of view. - Read in other reviews complaints about lack of instructions. Do a dry-run install first (without lock-tite) to play with the desired positioning etc. Then coat the motorcycle end of the stud with red lock-tite. Screw the stud into the bike and tighten. Do the other side. Next coat the mirror end of the stud with lock-tite. Screw the mirror onto the stud. There is a small set-screw to compensate for any inability to have the mirror both fully tightened and in the right position. Place in desired position, tighten the allen set-screw. - Easy little project...big results!! - Oh, and as far as the vibration issue...I have absolutely no more vibration than with the stock mirrors...maybe LESS!! A little lower than the stock mirrors, but just as good for vision. Adapters needed for Metric Cruisers. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Matches my other acessories very nicely. A little "double image" caused by vibration, but no worse than the stock mirrors. Review Details 1 out of 1 members found this review helpful. (5 stars) reviewed on 03/05/05 bySteven Wolfe (Desert_VTXtreme) from Mesa, AZ, United States, for a 2004 1300 VTX1300C wrote: The mirrors went on easily for me. Make sure you get them good and tight or you will deal with vibration. This is the case with ANY mirror I have ever had. The field of view with the convex glass is tremendous, far exceeding that which I got with the stockers or any flat mirror. I used the mirror portion itself to tighten it onto the shaft. I can't see getting more torque out of an allen wrench and I got this thing tight. Lock tite would come in handy as well. I should also mention these things look great on the bike. Chrome is show quality and well worth the money spent. Review Details 10 out of 10 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
