Liked the looks of these the moment I saw them on a VTX at the Honda dealership. Bought a set off an individual on a VTX forum, the only problem with them is with the footrest unfolded out, my legs are too short for the footrest, definitely for a taller person. Otherwise, with them in folded position they work great for kicking your legs up on a long ride. Would more than likely buy just the regular Kuryakyn Engine Guard next time.

Love the look and function of the highway peg thats built in on these Engine Guard!! Only problem I have found with these is with my gear shifter doesn't have enough clearance between the shifter and tubing of the guard for my steel toe leather boots to fit decent!!!! I have to ride with tennis shoes in order to fit between these properly.

If the installation were any easier it would have jumped on the bike on its own. Looks great and for me they are the perfect distance with pegs in or out. Great value and now I'm ready for a road trip

The product itself is great. I wish someone other than Kuryakyn made it though. CC had to send the original and a replacement set (which were both factory defective!!). CC took care of me, but I didn't want to have to wait like 2months to install something I bought. It does seem more sturdy than it appears.

Got new off EBay, saved about $60. Folded in are just fine and I'm 6'1". Folded out gives a lot more room than I needed. If you don't need extreme leg room save a few bucks and get the non-ergo ones. Material is sturdy and seem well built. Breeze to install.

I was not sure if these would be solid highway bars due to how they are attached with 2 or 3 bolts on the bottom. I am here to tell you that these are SOLID bars that look and feel awesome. These are two chunks of metal that attach solid! The weight on the box said the package weight 20 lbs...10 lbs a piece. Attaching both of them to the bike took 2 beers...I mean 20-25 minutes. I elected to get the bars that had the flip out peg option. I am 5-10 and with the pegs flipped out they are a bit too wide for me...but doable. Anyone 6 feet and over...THESE BARS ARE FOR YOU. They look awesome, feel fabulous and are so easy to put on!

Pretty cool set-up. Although with the pegs flipped/extended you feel like you on your way to doing the splits. Nice option but I seldom open them up. Another "maybe" on the purchase again question. Probably would not go for the flip-out option since I don't use it often, if at all.

I've had these for about 10 months. they look great. i"m 6 foot and long legged. the position of the pegs folded are fun for short distances and flipped out you can really stretch out for the long haul.

Man these are great. I installed them in 20 - 30 min and took a 5 hour ride. Got on the highway and kicked out the switchblades and it was like I was sitting in a comfortable chair flying down the highway. With the switchblades out air is forces up your leg but the ride is still awsome.

Just received these new engine guards/highway bars last week. Installation was fairly easy although it would help to have 4 hands when working on the left side of the bike. The guards look great and I can't wait to try them out on a ride.

Just got them and haven't installed them yet. Installation looks simple and they seem well made. I'll try to update this once I get some miles with them.
