The fold down lugage rack is not part of the sissy bar ( you have to go out a buy that additionally) and it is held in place ( in the up postion) by a "super magnet". It falls down all the time and I have already lost one of the magnets. I was so desappointed in this product it is no longer on the bike and is hung on the "wall of shame".
