(1 stars) reviewed on 07/20/05 byRICHARD (TOPWATER) from freeport, TX, United States, for a 2005 1600 Vulcan Classic wrote: The KY8831's adapters were sugested for the Kuryakyn footboards (KY7907) Allthough the adapters do work Kuryakyn should offer a "non-moving" version of this adapter for the footboards they sell. Kuryakyn or someone else may offer this type of adapter and I do not know of it. They will work for now but I will either replace the adapters with another type or modify the 8831's to be stationary such that only the footboards fold. Update 1-2-06...Don't buy these unless you like to modify new parts! There is a set screw to help lock the adapters into place with use of the boards however they are not accessable. Makes the Kuryakyn pegs I added droop down. I'll add a piece of metal to the inside plate to stop the peg from dropping to far. Shouldn't have to, though. Nice and snug now , but I don't know how long things are going to last. There has got to be a better way to do this. Wrote this first day. First Impressions last a long time. They SUCK. Hold the pegs great as long as there down, just can't flip them up because there's NOTHING to hold them in position. Got ISO-Wings for the wife, and I don't want to ride with them down all the time but flip them up and they have 1/2 in of bouncing room because the footpeg adapters SUCK.
