IT TOOK ABOUT AN HOUR TO INSTALL. I STILL HAVE TO BLEED THE BREAKS AND SINCE I HAVE HIGHWAY PEG BRACKETS I NEED TO GET 1 BOLT AS THE BOLTS THAT CAME WITH THE KIT WERE NOT LONG ENOUGH. I DID THIS INSTALL WITH LIMITED KNOWLEDGE SO ITS NOT TO BAD BUT I SUGGEST YOU REALLY TAKE A LOOK AT THE WAY YOUR CONTROLS LOOK BEFORE YOU START TAKING IT APART. ALL IN ALL IT WAS A GREAT PRICE AND A GOOD FIX FOR ME AS I AM 6'4"

This forward control extension kit is o.k. It helps if you have long legs and need the room. It simply moves the controls forward. Feet feel like they are right above the ground. Pegs scrape on the ground if you turn to sharp. Need to find somewhere to find the horn, and you will need to forget about any consideration of mounting an engine guard because it won't allow for it.

Bought this kit to add more legroom to my 06 VTX1800C. It added some comfort, but I was a little diasapointed as I could have used a little more length. That being said, the kit was high quality and installed easily. I recommend this kit. IMHO,after the kit was installed, the peg location should be the standard factory location.
