This forward control extension kit is o.k. It helps if you have long legs and need the room. It simply moves the controls forward. Feet feel like they are right above the ground. Pegs scrape on the ground if you turn to sharp. Need to find somewhere to find the horn, and you will need to forget about any consideration of mounting an engine guard because it won't allow for it.

Bought this kit to add more legroom to my 06 VTX1800C. It added some comfort, but I was a little diasapointed as I could have used a little more length. That being said, the kit was high quality and installed easily. I recommend this kit. IMHO,after the kit was installed, the peg location should be the standard factory location.

Easy- clean, better appearance. Brake hose fix: (the one on the backside (laying on) the exhaust pipe- detach hose (temporarily), then carefully turn the elbow to accomodate the hose going BEHIND the exhaust pipe- where it should have been all along - reattach, and with the help of a self brake bleeder from the local auto parts store - after install and tightening all- bleeding brakes was an easy job!

Great - must have! install not bad - BUT, instructions do NOT tell you what to do with the brake hose that will apparently lay on the back side of the exhaust pipe - the fix is easy: just detatch (temporarily) and carefully turn the elbow to accomodate the hose location going behind the pipe- MUCH cleaner appearance, and with a brake bleeder from the auto parts store- bleeeding is a breeze! ANYONE can do this install!

These are not exactly what I wanted. BUT what I wanted was WAY more expensive. It would have been nice to go out and up another inch or so. But I am very happy with them. I have had a couple 11 hour days and I had no complaints. Install was a bit of a pain. I had to drill out some of the holes to make them fit and it would be nice if it came with a longer break line.

It feels good so far after a short ride but the true test will be a long ride. I want to either get a smaller horn or relocate the horn because the sound has changed in its current location.

Pretty easy to install.Needed to re route brake line in front of pipes to stop it rubbing on pipes. No noticable flex in pegs when riding and the riding position is very comfortable for my height.5-11.

Nice units, really let's you stretch out your legs. Just wish they included a new longer hose for the brake reservoir. It is right against the front pipe.

Easy to install (about 3 hours), had to cut a notch our for the horn (it was in the way, couldn't shift out of first). Feels great and adds a lot more room. I would still love to have another inch as I am very tall.

I installed them in a couple of hours but ran into one small problem. The rubber brake hose from the reservoir to the brake piston will not reach around the Vance and Hines Long Shot pipes I have. I'm am in the process of looking for a solution and then will have to bleed the rear brake before hitting the road. I do the like the added stretch for my legs. I'm 5'10" and it seems to be a better fit than stock.

Took some time to put on but I like the fit and the look. You will need to bleed the rear brake. Kuryakyn dosen't tell you that if you have aftermarket pipes that you will have to replace or extend (about 2 inches) the rear brake reservoir hose. When I finished the installation, the rubber hose layed across my exhaust pipe. I took my bike to a buddy who has a motorcylce repair shop and asked him to extend the hose and bleed my rear brake. He did not have to add any hose. He simply turned the nipple that connects the hose to the mastercylinder 90 degrees towards the bike and ran the hose behind the pipe. He then used a black zip-tie and strapped the hose to the frame to make sure it did not come in contact with the pipe. It looks cleaner now because the hose is behind the pipe and not in front. I wish Kuryakyn would have put a replacement steel braided hose in the kit. That would look SWEET!
