(1 stars) reviewed on 08/20/08 byJohn (johward) from , , Asia, for a 2006 650 V-Star Classic wrote: Even though I installed this cover over the original brake cylinder lid as instructed, I couldn't stop brake fluid leaking out of the reservoir. Can't work out why, but for some reason the accessory stops the original lid from sealing down tight on my master cylinder. To test, lean your stationery bike hard over to the left for about a minute to flood fluid to the edge of the brake cylinder. Then check that fluid is not weeping out from under the chrome cover from the lid of the brake cylinder. Review Details 3 out of 3 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? I couldn't get the main body of the part to snug right down on the master cylinder until I loosened the handlebar clamp off. Check top screw tightness after installation to handlebar. (4 stars) reviewed on 03/26/08 byDawn Russell (Celticangel3) from Deltona, FL, United States, for a 2007 Deluxe 650 V-Star Classic wrote: Just got it today and it looks great. Really dresses up the dull finish of the stock. Easy to put on, just 2 screws and 2 bolts. Tech at shop made sure to tell me to leave the original cover on (even though you take the original screws out) . He has had people come back in after brake fluid sprayed over their bike.
