I got these for the longer rides, they work well. I just took them on a 1000 mile ride over 3 days and they held up well. One tip, if you use the rain covers make sure you secure them. I had them on, after getting something from the bags after a quick stop I forgot to tighten it down again and lost one of the covers. (going to see if I can order a replacement set) These will work well until I can afford hard bags and paint.
