Michael Traver from Charlottesville, VA, United States, for a 2005 BlackCherry 1800 wrote: I installed these risers myself and found the instructions left a lot to be desired. They don't tell you which bolts to use. I did not use 2 that were in the kit. They specify a torque but they are allen bolts not hex. I used the original hex bolts but had to put washers under then to keep them from bottoming out on the risers. Major Problem was the cables on thr throttle side were short. Stretching them to aligne the holes causes the throttle to stay in the position set and not spring back. I have to manually shut down the revs. The same is true of the cruise control, it speeds up but won't back off unless ai turn it back. There is no comment about this problem arising in the instructions or what to do about it. All said and done the attitude of the grips and bars are what I wanted to acheive. I've not yet found a resolution to the cable problem. Review Details 2 out of 2 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Kevin Woodward from Guthrie, OK, for a White 2005 1800 wrote: Easy to install, the hardest part was pulling on the cables to get some slack. Now that it is installed it makes my ride even better. I am a little short at 5'8" and have short arms. I had to get a backrest to move me forward to be comfortable while riding. In this kit you have several options on how you want to move the bars to best suit you. My posterior is now all the way back in the seat, and that makes a difference in the long ride. It (the kit) has not changed any of the handling characteristics of the bike. Have added a lot of things to make my bike lean and did not want this to hinder that. I can say to my pegs dismay that it still corners effortlessly. The kit is the quality that I have come to expect from Kuryakyn. Review Details 6 out of 8 members found this review helpful.
