Radical Increase In Power & Performance! trust me this isn't just pretty'n up you're ride- this is taking your bike up several notche's. Looks awesome, and is a great combo add for your bike when making performance upgrades ;) Relatively easy to install, you do need to have some basic mechanical abilities, otherwise best to take to dealer to install. Kit comes with everything you need including the "Jet Kit" which by the way.... I haven't jetted the bike yet, and am having no issues so far..."if" you're jetting the carb "Be Sure to Check" BEFORE Drilling! many models already have the hole for the new jet! ;) w/o having to drill. By the way... I noticed some riders commented on "knee bump"... Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

I put it in this weekend and it sounds amazing! Let's see there are a couple problems not with the hypercharger itself. Its with the installation of the hypercharger. The instructions were off and it refers you to a pic but the pic is not right so very confusing... I did happen to find a video on youtube of a guy that showed the whole install process. I would advise using that video now he does skip a couple of steps that are needed for the best performance on the hypercharger. So be sure to read the instructions very carefully because they can be confusing. other than that it is a very great product and i do recommend this to everyone I see! Oh and the horsepower increase is amazing the pick up and go it very noticeable and be careful cause the power increase can throw you off your game. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Highly recommend that you watch YouTube videos out there on installation. They will answer most of the questions you will have after reading Kuryakyn's instructions. Also recommend that if you are doing on Honda shadow that you go online with Bike Bandit or other OEM parts provider and order full set of top and bottom screws for your carburetor, as the screws are soft and you will probably mangle the head getting them out. Good to be able to replace the mangled screws with new ones. Be sure to check choke, throttle movement before you button everything back up. Kit comes with 135, 140, 145 main jets. I installed Cobra Power Pro HP exhaust at same time so, used the 145. No pops or backfires during 30 min test ride. With new exhaust seems to have better hp and torque. Can use 5th at lower rpm and speed with no lugging. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
(5 stars) reviewed on 01/07/11 byJoe Desmond (JADes718) from trenton, NJ, United States, for a 2008 750 Shadow Aero wrote: Ok so I went and installed this myself. I'm not a motorcycle mechanic, but I have traning as a maintence mechanic. This was by far the hardest thing I had to do on my motorcycle. The reason I say this is because I re-jetted the carb. There is not much room for error in this procedure, but if you have the tools, take your time and follow the instructions every thing is fine. The actual install of the hyper charger is very involved. Having a shop manuel is invaluble, because alot of parts must be removed for the install. The instruction provided were ok. I had to call kuryakyn for assistance with the vacuum hoses, other wise fit and finish on this kit was great. Chrome parts were well made and well finished. By the way the jet kit is included. Have not rode the bike yet because of snow. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
(3 stars) reviewed on 11/11/10 by(ghostrider11) from , , for a 750 Shadow Spirit C2 wrote: Really makes the bike look good. Not a considerable increase in hp. Vaccuum operated airflow opening. They open as u increase rpm, and close as u decrease rpm. Also, it sticks out away from the frame causing ur knee to hit it, which makes ur legs spread further apart than wanted. Beautifully finished and quality chrome really says class. Guys at the shop said it was a breeze to fit and jet. Results are smooth performance and not looking for a "Phantom" top gear anymore.Just adds the extra "oomph" for a quick overtake. I've married this unit to my Vance& Hines Cruzers and it appears to be a perfect Breathe in/Breathe out combination.I'm running 98 octane and fuel economy seems to have increased rather than decreased since fitment. One very happy chappy am I! :) regards Lizid 1 Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

The initial pick up has increased hugely, and the over performance is awesome. I was a little intimated about having to drill the carb, but found my carb already had the hole there, and I didn't need to drill it!! I does stick out a little farther than the stock air cleaner, but not a bit deal....and It looks great too! Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Read all the reviews but wanted a bit more get-up-and go from my 2008 Honda Shadow Aero. Well here is my review: BIG DIFFERENCE !!! Had it installed on Friday and road the bike all weekend. Man what a change. Used to top out at about 80 to 85 but now it hits 90 and has room for more. Better pickup speed and the look of the Hypercharger is awesome. I cannot comment on other bikes but with mine it really makes a difference... Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

I get an extra 15 - 20 kph top end. It's a bit in the way for your leg though. I had a bruise on my leg for thew first couple of months because it sticks out so much farther than stock. Very sexy looking. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
