Heavy solid metal, not flimsy, very nice product. Although the adapters fit loosly in the stock mounts and could use a few washer shims. these were installed on my wifes' vt600c shadow and they needed to be installed flat so that your foot will still fit under the shift peg to upshift. I also see that with a few shims and along with the splined adapter for Hondas it will fit my vt1100c, ( which almost nothing fits this older bike ) I plan on purchasing another set for mine
