(2 stars) reviewed on 03/04/10 byMary Przyojski (MaryP) from Columbus, OH, for a 2004 800 Marauder wrote: Nice grips. Can't understand why they were covered in a white greasy substance upon arrival. Attempted to clean them and the more I rubbed a soft cloth over them the worse they became. Grips are a little bulky. Would be nice if they were smaller. Only problem is they did not not come with the glue included. The box said the glue was included but it was not there. The left grip turned until I got the glue which was very annoying. (5 stars) reviewed on 06/15/08 by(Guam427) from , , for a 2000 800 Marauder wrote: Excellent product and easy to install. Hardest part was screwing those tiny allen screws back in. I was warned that the glue sets up extremely fast, so know where you want the left grip before you start. Good advice, but I still had plenty of time to adjust it before the glue set. Do the right one first and get your throttle cable play adjusted, so you'll know where the left one should line up to match. Unless you don't care about symmetry. :) These really cut down on the vibration I was feeling through my stock grips. That plus the larger diameter and better friction of the rubber mean you don't have to grip so tight to control the throttle. Makes long road trips a lot easier. (I know how to capitalize properly, but the website is putting all my letters in lower case for some reason.) Review Details 2 out of 2 members found this review helpful. (3 stars) reviewed on 05/15/07 byJeff K (jeffk42) from Orlando, FL, United States, for a 2001 800 Marauder wrote: They're nice, although the glue for the left grip hasn't done a great job so far of bonding the grip to the bar. Not looking forward to trying to remove it to reapply. Also, the package didn't come with the rubber insert mentioned in the package, used to fill the length difference between the longer-than-stock grip and the bar. No problem on the right side, though, and they do feel nice. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
