I added it after installing Kuryakyn ISO grips. Four screws (provided with boss) attach it to the end cap of the throttle. I cn ride with the heel of my hand on the "throttle boss" and opn my finers. Great for in town stretches, easy to adjust if you know you are gonna be on longer rides. Position is everything, you have to anticipate where you are wrist is gonna be when you're holding a certain speed. Once you find that sweet spot, you can't live without it.
