This does not lock the throttle at all - it simply allows you to not have to grip the handle as tight as you can maintain speed easier as it sits against the palm of your hand. After riding more than 3000 miles, to Sturgis and back, I've discovered that it looks good, but it cuts off the circulation to my fingers!
