Something different. Adds to the see and be seen factor. Noticeable light during night driving to see by, and be seen during the day. My kit came with 4 amber and no red. Also one of the light housings had defective chrome (bubbled and pitted) I ordered them in just enough time to get them on before leaving for sturgis. So I didn't send them back. One of them leaks and moisture gets inside as well. Not the kind of quality control one expects from a big name. Will likely try another brand for other lighting. I drilled holes on each side of rear rack attachment to mount them. I like them because they add additional visability for my bike. I also purchased a pair to modify the stock light bar on the Nomad. I drilled holes in the end caps next to the turn signals, and mounted them as small spot lights.
