Most of the time I put my heel on the floorboards and the ball of my foot on the pegs. It took some time to find the "sweet spot" but that's to be expected. I ended up moving the pegs to the front side of the engine guard to get another 2 inches of stretch. It's worth the time experimenting to find out what works good for you.
