The early Brakeaway units apparantly were not compatible with the ISO-Grips but they are now. In the instructions they tell you that you may need to use a little liquid dish soap to help it slide over the grip but it will go. With the year you have and the throttle being cable operated and having an iso grip it should work fine. Was really great on long 4000 mile road trip last summer.
