No really worth it

The product did make a noticeable difference in performance. I am not sure home much of a difference it has over just a good K&N filter. It does impede your leg and takes some getting used to. It looks great on the bike!

Just received it and can't wait to install it. Hoping to realize the extra power my friends say I should get from it. My ratings listed are not actual since it isn't installed yet and is still in the box. I will update once installed and put to test.

Looks great.. the problem was that i had to adjust the a/f mixture screw, which honda made nearly oimpossible to do. the d shaped screw tool, from honda is 75 bucks, but i found a site that makes the perfect tool for it, AND it removes the screw completely and replaces it with a cable that allows you to adjust the a/f mix whenever you want remotely. for 40 bucks shipping incl.. very cool.. glensvtxgarage.com

Only took a few rides to get used to my right leg touching this while riding. No problem there. It really boosted my bikes low and mid range power, I think. Looks great too! I wasted my money having the dealer install it and rejet my carb. They screwed the rejetting up, but the helpful folks at vtxcafe showed me how to fix it (the "scar mod"). Save yourself a boatload of money and install it yourself. Update: I've had this mod for over a year now, and wish I had tried a Baron Big Air Kit instead. I don't think it sticks out quite as far. My right knee rides against the hypercharger, which is fine when I'm tooling about town, no more than an hour at a a time. But when you hit the long trail, after a while that engine vibration transmitted to your right leg will cause it to hurt bad. I have to force myself to hold my right leg further out, so it doesn't ride. I am thinking of installing some heavy foam where my knee rides, to see if that helps. I'll let you know. Mig...

Excellent product. This adds more pep to your bike when you take off. The sound of the hypercharger sucking in air when you give it gas is cool (although, it's hard to hear over my V&H pipes!). I installed the hypercharger myself, but had my local Honda dealer re-jet the carb for me, as this is a must. It will not run right without re-jetting it. There's only 2 "con's": One is that the hypercharger does stick out quite a bit on the right side. Because of this, your right leg will not be able to rest up against the right side of the tank. This may bother some people. It did bother me at first, but I got used to it. The second "con" is that if you are riding into a stiff breeze, the hypercharger actually sucks in too much air, and you may get some slight hesitation if you give it gas. To me, though, these are both minor issues compared to the overall product.

Oh buddy is this thing nice. Not only does it really pop as an accessory to the bike, it really makes a difference in the top end of the power band. I finally coughed up the money for it and there's definitely some more power there. I had it professionally installed, but even they said the instructions suck. So, if you plan on doing it yourself, I advise you know what you're doing or take it somewhere. Recently I had to replace the vacuum hose as it dried and cracked (some may have been due to some shotty reassembly by a substandard mechanic). However, it should be kept in mind to look the hoses over every once in a while. Replacing it definitely cleaned up the ride.

This Hyper Charger was a little difficult to install because I had to re-machine some of the parts because of the chrome plating, hole size and placement. Because I am a machine shop it was not hard to properly fit all the parts. The one thing that took the most time was getting the carburetor jetting correct. Once I accomplished that my motorcycle runs very smooth and has smoother and quicker acceleration than the original set-up. I wouldn't recommend this addition to some novice do-it yourself person.
