(4 stars) reviewed on 08/21/08 byJake (elwray) from Monroe Township, NJ, United States, for a 2007 Pearl White 1300 VTX1300C wrote: Really cool piece. Adds some nice chrome to the bike, and looks pretty sweet! Doesn't really add too much HP, definitely more for looks.. but hey it DOES look awesome! The working butterflies really add to this. NOTE: it does stick out considerably more than the stock airbox. Took me a day to get used to it, and I personally don't find it uncomfortable at all. As an added bonus, replaces all those bulky stock plastic covers and allows better access to the carb without having to remove the intake! Review Details 3 out of 3 members found this review helpful. Installed easy I went with the dirctions. Installed jets and shim that came with kit. Works great! Sound a little different. has a little more power. Mostly in the first 3 to 4 gears.Don't need to choke it any more.Just let it warm up for a minute if it really cold. Sound awesome when u give it a crack of the throttle, sucking in that air! (4 stars) reviewed on 07/01/06 byJeff Aldea (jdaldea) from El Dorado Hills, CA, United States, for a 2005, Blue 1300 VTX1300C wrote: Sharp looking. Install a little tricky. Best to take off tank. Only 2 minor problems ( Hope Kuryakyn can solve) 1. According to install instructions & pictures, I don't have hose "A" on my bike. 2. The vacuum hose "C' dosen't seem to pull enough vacuum to operate the butterfly valves. I've contacted Kuryakyn and will post my response here.Fixed vacuum problem. When splicing line "C" I had pulled too hard which caused the hose further down to slightly pull free whiched caused a vacuum leak. Once I corrected this it runs like a dream. Line "A" has not been found, must be a California model. Review Details 4 out of 5 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
