Now its on and looks fantastic. Had to dynamap the bike beacause of the huge airintake. Still backfiring. Make sure everything is tight when you install and map your bike for the best fuel/air mixture. Looks fantastic! Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

I will say though....dont use Kuryakyns jet kit...its way overkill. Choke is no longer needed...I had 2 shops adjust carb to no avail , its a lumpier idle for sure and lost a bit in the top end. It felt better to me with the stage 1 kit. Nice looking unit though and combined with carb kit and Vance & Hines exhuast its a nice little boost. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? (5 stars) reviewed on 07/10/10 byRobin Hood (robin54) from Hutchinson, MN, United States, for a 2005 Black 1300 VTX1300T Tourer wrote: I love it!! Install was time consuming but had no real hassles. I can notice better throttle response, quicker acceleration, tuning was not an issue with the help of Dyno Jet. I had purchased a jet kit last year when I install the Cobra street longs and the suggest settings worked well. So I contacted them again and was informed that I could use the same kit and what jets, needle setting, and mixture screw setting to use and only had to tweak the mixture screw ΒΌ turn to get it dialed in. Not only do I like the performance but also the looks are great. I have received many comments on my 1300 VTX and also won 1st place in a local bike show for the bagger division. I am very pleased and would recommend this product for any one interested. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

(5 stars) reviewed on 03/14/10 bySgt Pepper (delutz) from Vancouver, WA, United States, for a 2007 1300 VTX1300R (S) Retro wrote: I put this no my 2006 VTX1300R about two weeks ago and have no trouble. I do not hear it sucking in air, all I hear is my Hard Krome pipes. It is not in the way of my leg but, I'm 6'2". Looks and works good and the butterflies open and close just like they are suppose to, performance wise, it is working very well. I can tell the difference in the power. The jetting of the carburetor called for a smaller main jet then the OEM main jet. I have not checked out the mileage yet. I will get a K&N crankcase breather and put it on real soon. I did lose 8-10 mpg with it and the rejetting the carb though :( I did it for looks not performance. Once it was installed my bike now has a nice lope to it at idle that wasn't there before. It blocks access to the brake as it sticks so far out to the side. It keeps you from putting your knee in the proper position. It is a definate safety hazard. However, this thing is in the way of my leg. Wish it was a little slimmer profile. Overall I'll keep it and would buy again. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

It is uncomfortable to ride with my leg twisted to place my knee on the outside of the intake. It makes it difficult to apply the brake and I find my knee getting sore from bumping against the intake. I like the way the bike runs but will remove the kit for comfort.
