Works great, looks great. Mine came with jets for re-doing the carburator, and I put new pipes on at the same time. My overall gain in power was about 20%

The hypercharger is nicely made and looks very cool. Install is not difficult even though the instruction are not that great. The tough part is getting the jetting correct. I added the hypercharger and Bubs Big willy pipes at the same time. I installed the jets included and adjusted the needle jet and it still runs lean. I am in the process of experimenting with jet sizes. The biggest problem with this unit is connecting the rubber tube to the air box. It is very difficult to get it to stay on. Having to take the unit off each time to change the jets is a real pain. I have also tried the pod filters and think they have much more performance potential but miss out on the cool look. Installing a non-funcional hyperchager would be totaly uncool !

This is a nice looking piece. It isn't the easiest piece to install but, it really looks nice on the bike.

I got the Kuryakyn Pro R Series Hypercharger, Jetting was very simple and found a great reference on the WEB. Google up Jetting a V-star 1000 and look for the PDF. The Hypercharge looks great and the bike runs like a top...

Just installed it. A liitle difficult to install due to needing to re-jet the carbs. If you do not re-jet you will run too lean & have problems with the engine running poorly. The directions stink like most of them. If you do not know what you are doing this is not for you to install. I managed due to have an automotive background. Comes with the jet kit already. The engine screams after installing the jet kit & Hypercharger. Everyone that has seen it in operation wants one too. Adds a performance look like no other!!
