Makes a huge difference to the heat for the driver. However, directs the engine and exaust heat onto the passenger floorboard. My passenger stated that it really wasn't unbearable as long as she wears boots.

The Kuryakyn saddle shield that I have does not block the heat from hitting the high outside of my right leg. It's just too short and it's too skinny at the back end to do much good. However, the front end of the shield works fine. Would I recommend this - no. But it does work better than the HD version of the same.
