If you are going to install the lizard light this is a must. The remote prevents you from have to use the control box to change the light colors and paterns. Having gotten the remote I was able to hide the control box because you dont need have to access to it readily. I did however have a problem with the remote working in the beginning. The problem was solved by reprograming the remote by following the directions. I did not follow the instruction by installing this while installing the lizard lights. The instruction tell you to install the stock control box test then install the remote.

Easy install. Simply replace stock switch with this unit. I keep my remote attached to my jacket or belt. Rattles too much and needs to be reset if attached to key. Has a telescoping antenna but never need to use it. Range is very good (a good 100 yards)...you're not going to be half a mile away trying to use it anyway.
