(4 stars) reviewed on 04/13/12 byJohn Mosley (Jigsaw1450) from Millville, NJ, US, for a 2006 Black 1600 Vulcan Nomad wrote: Come with directions. I followed them and glued the cover into place. There is a tiny hex-screw that also holds the shift peg cover in place. The company should provide the hex-wrench needed to tighten it down into place, because it is such a small gauge in diameter,I will have to search local hardware stores in hopes of finding one that tiny. Hoping 24hrs from now the glue is dry enough to hold. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Crazy glue 'stuck' eventually and set screw is lightly tightened. It is an item that looks good (this compliments the ISO grips and heel shifter) but I am not expecting this will last very long. Glue leaked out of cover, electrician tape to fill and allen key will break if you tighten too much. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Also, it was too loose with just revoming factory cover and installing directly. Had to rap pedal with electrical tape, but in turn, made the rubber buldge at the end and it doesn't stay in place. (1 stars) reviewed on 09/20/10 byGary (gcarneg) from Weaverville, NC, United States, for a 2005 Black&Silver 1600 Vulcan Nomad wrote: I read all the reveiws and tryed to adress the problems I was hearing. So I took my old rubber off with lubricant and a screwdriver like one fellow suggested Kind of stretched the end but worked good.I measured and found a .010"piece of shim stock wraped around bare peg was good.I even drilled a dimple in the peg to catch the set screw and prevent it from slipping. But as I was tightening the set screw I was gently turning the cover to feel for the dimple but the thing was so flimsey I never even felt the screw hit and I was turning it very gentle.then the tiny plastic surroundings around the screw just popped off.The fit was perfect and I think you would have to tear it up to get it off.I turned the peg into place and dripped super glue down into the end on the inner side.Holding but doubt if it will last.Had the part been metal it would have been great.. Added a few wraps of electrical tape and dry fitted. TIP: add a little dishwashing liquid...it really helps with installation. The set screw is quite small and an allen wrench IS NOT INCLUDED. Very easy install, but the set screw attachment seems like it might be a little flimsy. It's been secure so far though. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

(5 stars) reviewed on 03/27/08 byRandy (riker916) from Wilmington, IL, United States, for a 2007 Black/Titanium 1600 Vulcan Nomad wrote: A little difficult to adjust the shift peg. you may have to wrap the bare peg with electrical tape. I found that two wraps on a Vulcan was all that was necessary. This would probably hold true for any cruiser that this item would not slip over. Finishes off the shifter on my bike with the heel shifter pad and the chrome floorboard covers. These parts look great on my bike. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
